My Story

From a young age I always felt stuck as a dancer especially with flexibility. I had wonderful teachers growing up, all throughout competitions, college and even at Broadway Dance Center where I spent my summers training. It wasn’t until I got hurt that I realized I really did not understand my body! I didn’t fully understand how to engage my core during movement, I was never breathing efficiently, I didn’t know what engaging my turn out truly felt like and I had no idea my dorsiflexion was so limited! As I was a patient myself, I couldn’t help but think “What if I knew this growing up as a dancer; what if I trained as a true athlete, would I still be injured, would I have had better technique?” That is when I knew what path I wanted to take my career. I didn’t want students to come to me when they were already hurt, I wanted to train them as the athlete they truly are and to add personalized flexibility, mobility and strength training to their routine.

I know what it feels like to be stuck and unconfident in my abilities. My goal is to safely get dancers to reach their goals all while decreasing their risk of injury. My goal is for all my artistic athletes to fully understand and become aware of their bodies, to gain the knowledge and confidence not just to become a successful dancer but also a healthier human !
